The New Snoop Dogg and Eminem Music Video Features Bored Ape Avatars
A new music video featuring the non-fungible token (NFT) collection from the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) was published by well-known rap artists Eminem and Snoop Dogg. The duo’s most recent song, “From the D 2 The LBC,” had its debut during this year’s Apefest, an annual event for owners of BAYC and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC). The latest music video from Snoop Dogg and Eminem has amassed 8.85 million views as of this writing. The video has been trending on Youtube. The iconic BAYC NFT collection is highlighted in the official music video for the tune “From the D 2 The LBC.” For the video that was screened at Apefest, Snoop and Eminem animated their Bored Apes. Numerous well-known musicians performed during Apefest.
While the song is mostly about consuming marijuana, the new single contains a lot of BAYC imagery that has been spliced in. Both the BAYC 6,723 owned by Snoop Dogg and the BAYC 9,055 owned by Eminem were bought for six figures per NFT. There are a lot of comments from viewers and the song and video are highly well-liked on YouTube. DJ Skandalous commented in the comment section, “It’s amazing to see these two legends put their differences aside and now make down some tunes together for us.” In terms of the media, outlets like the Verge minimized the video and claimed.
The Snoop and Eminem video comes after Yuga Labs, the company founded by the BAYC developers, sued artist Ryder Ripps and a number of his collaborators. APEcoin (APE), a cryptocurrency token, has also seen a value growth of 15% over the past week and 21.60% over the previous two weeks. However, the price of APE is currently $4.76, which is 82.2 percent less than its all-time high (ATH), which was $26.70 a unit. Bored Ape Yacht Club 8,522 sold for 233.33 ether, or $262,958, during the last seven days. 2,896 boats from Bored Ape Yacht Club went for 166 ether ($205K), whereas 7,381 boats from BAYC went for 147.25 ether ($182K).
