Coinbase to Offer its Unsatisfied Employees A Severance Package
The CEO of Coinbase, Brian Armstrong sent his employees a letter informing them to get in line with a new firm culture shift, providing those unwilling to do so a decent separation severance package to the unsatisfied employees with Apolitical mission.
The letter that was sent by the CEO, Armstrong was obtained by CoinDesk to the Coinbase employees on Wednesday stating that the time has arrived to have a tough conversation on his latest clarification of Coinbase’s mission, Apolitical Mission.
Armstrong said that he recognized many were still preparing the social move and offered to respond to inquiries in an ask-me-anything discussion scheduled for Thursday.
An individual near the circumstance and talking under a state of obscurity affirmed the letter was genuine and said Coinbase perceived certain workers weren’t happy with the new bearing.
Armstrong composed that Coinbase had an apolitical culture in an open letter distributed Sunday that said the trade would not take part in more extensive cultural issues or engage worker discussions about these issues.
Those employees unhappy with the new direction have been educated they can take up a separation package since life is too short to even consider working at an organization that you are not amped up for.
The packages incorporate 4 months, severance for workers who have been at the trade for under three years or a half year for longer-term representatives. Coinbase will likewise offer a half year of medical coverage through the U.S. government’s COBRA program.
The CEO of Coinbase said that the employees have time till October 7 to submit a form to start the procedure of severance should they opt to do so. Further, Armstrong said that it doesn’t mean that the employees have to agree on every point, but they should be at least able to disagree and effort in making this latest path a hit.
